Ring in the New Year in Africa

2010The New Year holiday is a time to reflect on the past year and to look forward to the upcoming year.  It’s a time to celebrate with friends and family the ending of one year and the beginning of a new one.  It’s a time to make resolutions that will, in all likelihood, be broken in the coming weeks.

This year, the team at Heart for Africa is excited to start a new tradition.  We will kick off the new year in Kenya and Swaziland and we hope you will be a part of this new tradition.  We still have space available for both trips.

Kenya
December 26 – January 5

The Kenya group will serve at Tumaini and Strong Tower children’s homes located in the Naivasha area, just northwest of Nairobi.  During the trip, the team will spend time with the children at the homes, work on light construction projects, and garden at the home and in the community.  The trip also includes a one day safari at Lake Nakuru Game Reserve.

The cost of the trip is $3,250 departing from JFK International Airport in New York.  To register, click here and pick the home you where you would like to serve.  You can reserve your spot with a $500 deposit.

Swaziland
December 26 – January 5

The Swaziland team will serve at all three of Heart for Africa’s partner homes.  Like the Kenya team, you will select your preference home in the registration process.  The projects will vary from home to home, but you will certainly spend time in the gardens.  The work may also include construction, working with babies and toddlers, helping prepare meals, and gardening in the communities around the homes.  This trip includes a one day safari at the Hlane Game Reserve.

The cost of the trip is $3,650 departing from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.  To register, click here and pick the home you where you would like to serve.  You can reserve your spot with a $500 deposit.
